Vice Chair Nick Eaves Resigns from Burlescombe Parish Council

Councillor Nick Eaves has resigned from his position as Vice Chair of Burlescombe Parish Council. In a statement shared on social media, he cited frustrations over delays in accessing essential council resources, including the website and bank accounts, which have impeded progress since his election in June.

Despite these challenges, Councillor Eaves acknowledged recent achievements such as the launch of a new website, resolution of banking issues, and the formation of a committee dedicated to preserving the local playpark. He expressed confidence in Chair Emma Forward’s leadership and pledged his continued support to the council, encouraging residents to do the same.

The council will initiate the process to fill the resulting vacancy in accordance with standard procedures. Residents are encouraged to stay engaged and support the council in shaping the parish’s future.
